An Australian Teacher and His Dead Student

An Australian teacher posted on facebook a message the day after the pupil had committed suicide. Simon Cox called the student a 'bully' and 'brat' who'd 'made life hell' and saying that the pupil would get 'no sympathy or empathy from me'. The post was passed on to parents, who contacted the school. The teacher has been stood down. The boy's uncle said the shattered family had been hurt by the post.

My comment was this:

1. I see you grammar nazi loosing your mind on "your" (misspelled "you're"). Prima, he is a teacher indeed, but who can tell what teacher? Obvioulsy is not a language teacher. What about If he is a math, biology or chemistry teacher? Is that word a measure of his intelligence? Really really? Secundo, we are on internet. We write on facebook, forums and articles like this. Not on official papers, scientific papers and studies. WE DO NOT NEED TO BE CORECT. Tertio, probably it's just a speed miss-typing. Now you stupid people want to invalidate all of his 50 words of argument because of a single word miss-typed? A wrong made to the rules of language and not of logic?

2. I see you superstitious and religious people commenting like: NEVER speak ill of the dead. Keep your prejudices and bronze-age beliefs to your self. If you find this article (teacher's opinions) offensive, to difficult to understand at an logical and emotional level, please leave. And let open-minded speak. By the way, you shouldn't even be on internet. Did you knew that internet is Satan's creation made for people to lose their time and making them a zombie? This way Satan will affect you and your familly (father, mother, son). Did you knew that in jewish alphabet letter "waw" (w) it's on the sixth position? Writing "www" when entering a site (any site) will result in writing the devil's number, 666? So run off for your salvation!

3. I see you hater and hating like what's with the earring and free love tee shirt on the teacher? Looks like a weirdo. Well, this teacher is a human being like you: eat, drink, sleep and shit like you. He has fun like you do. He makes photo of himself fooling himself. Just like the way you do. But this things are independent of his value as a teacher. Ba dum tsss. Once I've heard a professor who was a well-known prankster between collegues. Nobody knew when he was talking seriously or guacamole. His name was Feynman and he had received a Nobel for teaching. In conclusion, hating him for having fun is like religion: keep masturbating and feel sorry for this every time. And then go out there and preach and judge people that masturbate.

4. I see you outraged and commenting like what an insensitive and disrespectful teacher. Combining this with no. 1 will result in a mega retarded combo. The problem is that THERE'S NOTHING DISRESPECTFUL in his post. He didn't swear; he didn't said bad and mean words. He simply stated his opinion on a student of his. That is, he was a bad student, his tutors protected him, and he's was a deconstructive force for other students and teachers. More of all, he wasn't a kid: he was 16, he had his own consciousness, and the obligation to pay for his deeds. Most of all, the teacher arguments his opinion with plain facts: I saw you intimidate, stand over and beat up on younger kids. Let's just presume for a moment he didn't die; let's presume he left for another school. Shouldn't teachers be happy because he is gone? He was menace. Shouldn't other students enjoy this? Ofcourse! But he died. So we can't be all happy and enjoy this. So we reach no. 5, about hipocrisy.

5. So I see you looking for proofs. I see you using this proofs to make you feel good. And I see you, how you create a lame memorial facebook page, mr Britten (uncle): hundreds of tributes flooding the student's Facebook page were proof he was popular, loved and a 'good kid'. He was so loved by everyone. I can't fathom what went down. Any suggestion he was bad is not true... he was not a bully - he definitely was not a bully. Well, ofcourse you didn't fathom what went down. Because you live in another planet. The truth is that a child is child at his house and another child at his school. The fact that you we're incredible stupid to realise what kind of child he was really like. The fact that you we're imagining things about your child and keep going with this even after his dead, when now, even more desperatly, try to make things up and to state the clichee of fresh dead meat: HE WAS A GOOD MAN. He wasn't. He wasn't so loved. All people tributing on that lame and retarded page (like it would bring him back from hell) they are hipocrites. Like you, mr. Britten. And the ultimate and touchless proof it's he's suicide. What kind of so loved kid will kill himself? Anyone who is NOT suffering from depression or mental health issues? Hello-o?

In the end...

The only thing that bothered me is that the teacher, mr. Cox, had no balls. When confronted and when education department staff stated that this type of behaviour by any teacher is unacceptable and will not be tolerated he got scared and made up a story: the post wasn't about this kid, it was about a bully of his, back 30 years ago, who died recently. Darn coincidence to post this just the day after one of his studend comitted suicide. Dude. Keep the testosteron in you: if you started like a manly man, finish like a manly man. However, it doesn't mather, you will still get to the part when you resign. The stupidity of people "shocked" of this case is enormous, and pressure proportional. Only few people commented on facebook things like I'm on his side and the truth needs to be said. Thumbs up for the teacher here and the popular (372 likes and keep growing) I see no issues here. Rough as it is, he deserves to speak his mind. All of this comments are rare and have one-word feedback like idiot. Gladiator's rule: win the arena first.
